If you use the hack, then RDP becomes useful. The player runs on 1 user that you ban from using RDP, and you RDP in as Administrangler. (Now M$ will go muka at me for pointing out something that is common knowledge.) Once you have a hacked RDP would suck if used in the standard way, however, there are any number of hacks out there to enable multiple RDP sessions and they work fine on XPE. VNC is used as an absolute LAST RESORT, it eats cpu, but it does give you the "being there" for stuff that wont work over RDP, mentioning no names, scala configuration tool.
We use a combination of VNC (which SUCKS) and RDP to manage digital signs.
